Sofia Coppola

Hi! Today in my blog post I am going to be writing about Sofia Coppola and her film Maria Antoinette. Sofia Coppola has a different take than many other directors when writing a film. Sofia wants to be able to write and film about what she wants to create, not always what the audience wants to see. When watching the film Maria Antoinette you could see how Coppola used her cinematography to demonstrate a coherent and intentional vision. Kubrick One-Point Perspective

In Kubrick's film you were able to see this unfold being that he would go back and repeat the same locations throughout the course of the film. The film also gradually speeds up which made things more dramatic and also included having people in the center of the frame. Kubrick also included some of the people in different frames doing the same motion repeatedly. I enjoyed this short video because it was so intense and also cau...
